| User Accounts With Windows XP you have a choice to allow family members to have their own login account with their own desktop and choices. You will be able to set the privilages as either Administrator or you may not want to allow that kind of privilage. The only user you will not be able to give administrative privilages is the guest user. Below you will see how to get to your user accounts.  Now once in Control panel click on the icon for users such as below.  You will have a few choices once you arer in the user account as below.   To change an account click on the user below as it says , The names of each user account will be below that. For instance you can turn on or off the guest user.  You can also change the picture as I have done below. These are the only two options for the guest and only the Administrator can do these changes. For all other users you will have these choices below and the user will be able to choose how they want their acount to look. Only If the user dose not have administration privilages some choices will not be available. Be careful who you allow these privilages to.  If the user wants to create a password , they will be able to. Just click on create password.Type in a password and confirm it. Then give a secret word that will remind you of your password. On loggging on to your user account when windows opens in the welcome stage. You just have to type in your password. If you forget your password you can click on see my secret word.  To change a picture , click on change picture you can either choose one of the ones windows xp provides or choose to browse your computer for your own.
