Windows Update

We all should keep our windows updated. Exspecailly critical updates. Below is how we do this.

First you click on Start menu, then Windows update.

This will take you automaticly to the Microsoft update site.

click scan for updates . This will scan your computor for files you need to keep your Windows Xp running smoothly along with alot of the microsoft  programs that come with your computor.Also it will give you patches that will protect you from hackers . Once you have it scanned . add  the updates. Some will require you to restart your computor and can only be added by them self . So  you will have to come back in using same process above to add the other ones. It will tell you if you need to add it alone. and It will tell you if you need to shut down and restart your computor. Others you can add all at once. and you won't need to shutdown and restart.  Best to do it anyway.
